DESPITE CORONAVIRUS, MAY 12 SPECIAL ELECTION WILL PROCEED

Leading State Senate Candidate Melissa Melendez Releases Statement on Upcoming Election  

RIVERSIDE, Calif facebook tagdfoto's. – Due to the vacancy created by Senator Jeff Stone’s resignation, the election is constitutionally mandated to proceed and will be held on May 12, 2020.  The Election will be vote-by-mail only – no poll voting. 

Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez – the top voter-getter in the March Primary has released the following statement:

“Our constitution was designed to weather far worse than the current threat of Coronavirus,” said Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez.  “I urge all residents to take the necessary precautions, to apply for vote-by-mail ballots and to follow the instructions of local authorities.  That said, the residents of the 28th Senate District deserve to be represented in the State Senate, I am eager to be their voice.”

Melendez is running for the vacant 28th State Senate District, which covers most of her current 67th Assembly district, and spans across the desert to the Coachella Valley to the Arizona border how to download something.
